Hydrotherapy Program
July and August Only
Penticton Pediatric Therapy has a Physiotherapist that has acquired special training in providing aquatic/hydrotherapy.
This program is available in the summer months (July and August).
It is suitable for children and adults with all levels of abilities. Note: This program is not suitable for children or adults who have a tracheostomy.
The program is typically run with a combination of the Physiotherapist, Rehabilitation Assistant(s), and where relevant, Speech-Language Pathologist, providing co-treatment. A combined approach allows your child to develop and work on skills in both their physical development as well as expressive and receptive language skills. Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) boards are laminated and used in the pool to maximize your child's communication potential in the hydrotherapy environment.
